KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to relate to and work with students and adults in a positive manner. Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills. Possess basic English and mathematics skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Basic knowledge of technology and ability to apply knowledge to assigned areas of responsibility. Ability to perform clerical tasks. Planning and organizational skills. Knowledge of operation of office and audio-visual equipment. Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues.
Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
JOB GOAL:
Under the supervision of the Principal, performs school-wide student enrollment and registration processes. Assists with student data validation related to local, state, and federal reporting collection cycles. Provides student information systems technical support to staff, parents, and stakeholders.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Performs enrollment and registration activities on the automated student information system and assists
in preparing permanent records folders for all students new to the school
2. Receives, reviews, and verifies all required registration documentation, including legal
documents, affidavits, forms requiring notarization, and educational records from previous schools.
3. Prepares registration and enrollment packets, and refers inquiries to the appropriate
staff and/or school personnel
4. Provides information to families and responds to inquiries regarding the enrollment and registration
processes.
5. Completes address change requests and receives required residency documentation
6. Assist with student information system data validation, accuracy, and corrections, related to local,
state, and federal reporting collection cycles
7. Responds to all communications via telephone, voice mail, and electronic mail concerning student
information system and school enrollment
8. Performs office, clerical, and other related administrative tasks as assigned
9. Retrieves needed information and reports from the student information system
10. Abides by all Code of Ethics for Educators and Board policies.
11. Maintains a pattern of prompt and regular attendance.
12. Performs other assigned duties.
13. Performs other tasks consistent with goals and objectives that support the vision and mission of
McDuffie County School System.
14. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduate or equivalent; college or business school preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Medium Work: Generally, the job requires 90% sitting and 10%walking
