NOTICE TO ALL MCDUFFIE COUNTY RESIDENTS
For the 2022-2023 School Year
Under guidelines of 1974 Order Ridley and United States v. Georgia, the McDuffie County School System must inform all parents of children living in McDuffie County of the opportunity for a Majority-to-Minority transfer to eligible schools. Once enrolled, students may continue to attend such school until they complete all grades of the school. Following completion of all grades, these students will be expected to return to their regular attendance zone. For Majority-to-Minority students, transportation to the approved transfer school will be provided at no charge to the parent.
Parents or guardians interested in making a Majority-to-Minority transfer request should read Board Policy JBC and complete a Transfer Request Form, which is available at the Board of Education central office located at 716 N. Lee Street and on the McDuffie County School System website.
Completed forms must be submitted to the McDuffie County Board of Education central office to the Director of Curriculum and Instruction no later than May 26, 2022.
