Kimberly Hunter was named 2024 McDuffie County Teacher of the Year during a ceremony at the Thomson High School auditorium on October 20. Mrs. Hunter is a 3rd grade teacher at Thomson Elementary School. She will now move on to represent McDuffie County in the Georgia Teacher of the Year program.
She spoke with the McDuffie Minute podcast about her reaction to the honor, the importance of involving parents in the teaching process, why she got into education in the first place, and how as a Lincoln County native she balances being a Red Devil and a Bulldog.
