Accident insurance coverage is available for purchase by parents to cover their students:
1) During the school day only, or
2) 24-hours per day.
There is also an option to purchase 24-hour per day dental coverage.
These coverages are available in 4 different levels with premiums ranging from $8.00 per year to $140.00 per year. The insurance is designed to pay per a schedule according to the plan selected for accidental injuries to covered students.
Enrollment is easy. Simply complete the attached form and mail it, along with the appropriate payment for the coverage(s) selected, to the insurance company in Raleigh, North Carolina.
The school district strongly suggests that parents purchase optional student accident insurance for their children to assist with medical and/or dental expenses that might be incurred for a student involved in an accident at school or during extra-curricular activities.
