Bio

I am excited to begin the 2024-2025 school year with my MAC family as we embark on another sensational year of teaching and learning!  I am elated to be principal at McDuffie Achievement Center.  I am a native of Thomson and a 1991 Graduate of Thomson High School.  I graduated from Claflin University with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in History.  I earned a Master of Education Degree in School Counseling from South Carolina State University and an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Cambridge College.  This year I will begin my 28th year in education.  I believe that all children are educable, and that all students can be successful. I am a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and Chi Sigma Iota International Counseling Honor Society.  I enjoy working to help better my community.  In my free time, I enjoy listening to old school rap, reading, traveling, and watching action movies.  I am married and have a son who keeps me on my toes!  I am looking forward to an exciting and rewarding year working with the parents and students of McDuffie County.
